It’s Friday! Nap time again. Yay!
I had another midwife appointment this morning. I’m going weekly now. It was a quick appointment. The baby is head down and his heart rate sounded good. The appointment wasn’t until 10:15 AM and Sam and I were still rushing around this morning.
Sam didn’t wake up until 8 and then I decided that his toys needed to be organized so I took out everything and sorted and then labeled his blue bins.
He doesn’t have a lot of big toys. He seems to acquire a bunch of random little things which end up everywhere, mostly under the couch and in my car..
This week has been pretty low key. Sam was supposed to have Mother’s Day Out on Wednesday but he woke up with a cold. Sadness. I was really looking forward to it. So we camped out at home all day Wednesday and watched lots of cartoons. I tried to bribe him to take medicine with ice cream but he wouldn’t even taste the ice cream.
Wednesday evening, Sam seemed to be doing better and we had to drop off Aaron’s car to be inspected so we all took a trip to Target. I was also out of overnight diapers so we had to get some. (Sidenote: Target now sells an overnight version of their brand diapers. I was tempted to try them but didn’t. Has anyone tried them?)
This was my second attempt at couponing. I ended up saving a total of $32.14 bringing my total down to $119.14 so I was pretty happy. It was all stuff that I would have bought anyway with the exception of getting two free greeting cards.
I was a little embarrassed to have to have the cashier scan four different bar codes on my phone (all the Target mobile coupons & Cartwheel) and I still managed to forget to have her scan one, but it actually went pretty quickly and she didn’t mind at all.
I didn’t have a car Thursday because Aaron was using mine since his was being inspected and it was raining so we were stuck inside. Sam was feeling a lot better so we were both going stir crazy by lunch time. Luckily, Aaron was able to come home at lunch and we went to pick up his car.
After lunch and nap, I took Sam to get a haircut then we wandered around a thrift store until about 5.
Hiding in some coats at the thrift store:
The plan for this weekend:
Tonight we’ll probably get some food out somewhere for dinner. Tomorrow Aaron is going to continue work on Sam’s new room so I think I’m going to take Sam to the gym to go swimming.
